Spud Swimming & Diving Team State competition Results, Moorhead Takes 12th - University of Minnesota March 4-6
Michael Golling finished 3rd in State in diving. David Flickinger finished 7th in the state in the 200 freestyle and 5th in the state in the 100 butterfly. Patrick Foley finished 20th in the state in the 500 freestyle. The Relay team of Logan Arnold, Chris Fierstine, Patrick Foley, and David Flickinger finished 15th in the 200 freestyle relay, and 12th in the 400 freestyle relay. The Moorhead Spuds finished 12th in the team standings.
8AA Section Meet held February 26-27 at St. Cloud Tech
Diving: Michael Golling finished first in the section and advanced to State. Wyatt Johnson finished sixth, and Brandon Desautel finished eighth.
Swimmers: David Flickinger finished first in the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly, advancing to state in both events. David set a new section record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 52.34. Patrick Foley finished first in the 500 freestyle and advanced to state. Other notable Spud swimmers include Logan Arnold (3rd in 200 IM and 4th in 100 backstroke), Chris Fierstine (6th in 50 free), Michael Golling (7th in 50 free). The Spud relay team of Chris Fierstine, Patrick Foley, Logan Arnold, and David Flickinger finished second in both the 200 free relay and the 400 free relay and advanced to state competition in both events.
Michael Golling was selected as Diver of the Meet for 2010 Section 8AA.
David Flickinger was selected as Swimmer of the Meet for 2010 Section 8AA.
