Jeff Foss signs ATO contract with Milwaukee Admirals
Milwaukee, WI-- The Milwaukee Admirals announced today the signing of defensemen Jeff Foss and forward Chris Cahill to an amateur tryout contracts (ATO).
Jeff Foss, a sixth round draft pick by the Nashville Predators (166th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, has played the last four seasons for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) recording 14 points (3g,11a) and accumulating 48 penalty minutes during the 2010-11 campaign. He finished his four year career with 38 points (8g, 30a) in 154 games. Prior to playing at RPI, the Moorhead, MN native spent one season with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL.
Chris VandeVelde makes nHL debut for edmonton oilers 3/17/11 against phoenix coyotes will play against Colorado tonight
The Moorhead Spuds have another player joining the ranks of the NHL. Chris VandeVelde from the Class of 2005 made his debut March 17th against the Phoenix Coyotes in a game in Edmonton. VandeVelde is wearing jersey #54 and the game tonight against Colorado is on Center Ice on Direct TV.

McGovern's Get Together Thursday Before & After Game
The game is fast approaching. Join your Spud Hockey Alumni, Family, Parents, Friends, Followers, Backers, Supporters at McGovern's (225 7th St W, St Paul, MN) before and after the game Thursday night. Coach Shercliffe says 3:00 PM is the start and then again after the game. McGovern's is a 21 or older establishment.

Under 21 Player Pass - Cost is $30
Social Pass is for the social activities which includes pass holder + significant other. You will need to have a social pass to enter the area for the social activities. Fans may watch the games at no cost but will not be allowed in the social area without a social pass.
Donations: You can make a donation to the Spud Alumni Fund which will be used to support several projects the Spud Alumni Fund is supporting.

Jason Blake curls in towards the slot looking for a pass from a teammate against the Minnesota Wild Wednesday, November 17 at the Xcel Energy Center.
Matt Cullen drives through center ice against the Anaheim Ducks in the first period.
After the game Jason Blake met with family and friends for a few minutes before heading to the airport and back to California.

Matt Cullen Gets Assist Number 300 Against Calgary
At 4:20 in the 3rd period Matt Cullen fired a cross rink pass to Martin Havlat for the game winning goal against Calgary at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. For Matt Cullen it is assist number 300 in his career, he has played in 892 games and has 172 goals. The Wild won 2-1 improving to 6-4-2 on the season and now in 2nd place in the NW Conference.

Matt Cullen Enjoys first home game for the wild
Matt Cullen couldn't wipe the smile off his face as he soaked in the first night playing for the Minnesota Wild on Thursday, October 14th. Cullen rose to the ocassion as he helped the Wild defeat the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 by adding a goal and an assist plus being named the second star of the game. Former Spud Mark Cullen Injures Achilles, out 4 months
Florida Panthers forward Mark Cullen underwent surgery to repair his injured achilles tendon on Tuesday. He is expected to miss 4+ months due to the injury.
VandeVelde scores goal adds assist against Vancouver
Chris VandeVelde had a memorable first game in the NHL scoring a goal against Roberto Luongo and adding an assist to help the Oilers defeat Vancouver 3-2 in the first pre-season game of the 2010-2011 season.
