Fargo Bombers Sweep Golds 16-5, 15-2
Highlights for the Golds included Brett Danielson going 3-for-4 and Brady Johnson going
2-for-3 from the plate for Moorhead. The Golds are now 6-6 on the season and will travel to Watertown, SD for a tournament this weekend.
Steve Timmer - Golds Head Coach Earns 1,000th Win
The Moorhead Golds defeated Fergus Falls in the first game of a double header 10-4. Not so much out of the ordinary, just another game at Matson Field with the Moorhead Golds playing ball. It was however a BIG deal for those nostalgic of baseball in Moorhead. The win signified the 1,000th win in a 35 year career for the Golds Head Coach Steve Timmer. Coach Timmer started his career in 1975 with the Golds and has been the ever present mentoring, teaching and proding presence in Moorhead Baseball. He has shaped many lives, taught hundreds of young men the game of baseball and life lessons along the way.
